'Strings Attached' Wins Cover Design Honor
Since 1965, the Association of American University Presses (AAUP) has held a juried design competition—the Book, Jacket, and Journal Show—to honor the design and production teams behind its members' books and teach the tenets of good design through a traveling exhibit of selected entries.
We're happy to announce that Strings Attached poems by Diane DeCillis has been selected as one of 32 exceptional covers in this year's show! Its distinctive cover was designed by Andy Kopietz and art directed by Carrie Downes Teefey and Maya Whelan. Cover artwork of Tosca is by Rafal Olbinski and used with permission of the artist.
Strings Attached will be included in the 2015 Book, Jacket, and Journal Show that will premiere at the AAUP Annual Meeting in Denver, June 18-20, 2015. Afterward, the show will be exhibited at member presses around the country from September 2015 through May 2016. Learn more about the competition and see a full list of winners on the AAUP website. Congrats to our designers!
