Join Vivi Lachs, three bands and special guests for a musical celebration of the publication of her book Whitechapel Noise: Jewish Immigrant Life in Yiddish Song and Verse, London 1884–1914. Telling histories gleaned from London’s Yiddish music-hall lyrics, satirical and socialist verse, this entertaining evening brings the book to life showing a new analysis of our Yiddish immigrant culture.
