This 7th annual festival on the campus of the University of Michigan-Dearborn is a celebration of writing for students in grades 3 -5, their parents and teachers.
The program begins with a presentation by guest author Jean Alicia Elster followed
by a series of breakout sessions for youth to sharpen their reading and writing skills and
for adults to pick up tips on supporting their children’s literacy development. The festival
wraps up with the Writing Contest Awards Ceremony and a book signing by Elster,
whose books will be available for purchase on site.
