The Detroit Writing Room presents a new Black Voices Series. These virtual events will feature Black writers and creators from Detroit and nationwide. Come hear their stories, ask questions and support their work.
Join us for a Black Voices Series event presented by the Wayne State University Press on Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. EST! The virtual talk features fiction authors from Detroit and New York and will be moderated by New York Writing Room coach and literary agent Samantha Fabien. Panelists include:
Maisy Card, author of "These Ghosts are Family"
Esperanza Cintrón, author of "Shades, Detroit Love Stories"
Megan Giddings, author of "Lakewood"
Stephen Mack Jones, author of "August Snow"
The authors will share their writing and publishing journeys and give tips for those who want to write their own fiction novel. Guests will have a chance to ask questions during a live Q&A.
There will also be book giveaways. You must be present on Zoom to win!
