Wayne State University Press invites you to meet up at Corktown's best pub to chat with four authors with a passion for Detroit art, architecture and literature. Each of the participating authors will spend five minutes at each of the tables over the course of 30 minutes. The topic of conversation is completely up to you! Ask them about their books, writing in general, or simply talk about anything that comes to mind. At the end, the author will give a complimentary copy of their latest book to their favorite table.
Think of it as speed-dating, but at the end of the night, you go home with a fresh look at your city and a new good book!
This month's authors are David Clements, author of Talking Shops, Michael Hodges, author of Michigan's Historic Railroad Stations, Danielle Aubert, author of Thanks for the View, Mr. Mies, and Toby Barlow, author of Sharp Teeth and the upcoming Babayaga.
