Join us on October 16 at 6PM to welcome Caro native RS Deeren in the promotion of his first book: a collection of 9 short stories featuring a vivid portrait of life in rural Michigan, specifically Caro! These character-driven stories, feature small-town folks struggling to reconcile tradition with inevitable change.
Deeren is currently an assistant professor of creative writing at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee, and while he has a PhD at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, the Caro Area District Library is where he first learned to read.
This event is free to attend. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and to be signed by the author after the reading. While all ages are welcome, this book is considered adult fiction, so please keep that in mind if you decide to bring your kids.
